Few months ago, she was madly in love with him. I saw her joy everytime he picks her up from school. They seems picture perfect. She expresses how glad she was leaving her ex and found new love. As they say 'The grass is always greener on the other side'. Then, a week ago, he turns into an animal and beats her up because she hinted of breaking up. Bruised eyes, bloody nose she said. I dropped my drink and jus gazed across my dear friend. I dunno why but i felt angered. How could a man beat up a lady?! Where's he's morals and ethics! I'm so naive to think that this only happens in rural India country side. Where woman has less or no rights! And She wasn't even married to him! So what rights does that asshole has? He or any man that lays hands on a woman, doesn't even charaterised as human! Beast. Mutthafarking beast. Grass aint' that green after all for her. I pitied her and strongly urge her to take this matter to higher grounds and bring justice. But am afraid, she disagreed as things will only be worsen for her and troubles her more. And she rather not think about what had happened. I guess, with the my readings, the media and my parents' teaching, I'm influnced by the westernized ideology of Woman Rights, strong Feminism values and Equality; that we ain't just the weaker sex to the eyes of Adams. This is the reason why i'm furious by what had happened to my dear friend. But could't do much, only gving my listening ears and shoulder to cry on. A sudden rage of emotions and wanting to rant it out here. Roar. Guess you all didnt expect this frank side of me, huh? |
